⏰ ARRIVE ON TIME

- Check-in with the Field Manager to play.
- Kickoff: 15 mins after event start time
- Format: Rotating teams (20 min on, 10 min off), 8v8 max

🙏 RESPECT THE RULES

1. The first rule of SOPFC is, you talk about SOPFC: Invite a friend to play.
2. Positive attitudes only.
3. No slide tackling.
4. No corner kicks.
5. Kick-in from the sides instead of throw-ins.
6. Call your own fouls, and no one else's.
7. If someone calls a foul, respect the call.
8. All goals must be scored inside the halfway line.
9. Last player back may use their hands in front of goal.
10. Games start by kicking the ball in the air and letting it bounce twice before being touched.

WHAT IS TEAMUP?

Teamup is an event where free agents are grouped into teams to play back-to-back, refereed 7v7 mini-games. When you register, you sign up individually; SOPFC then forms balanced teams in advance, considering your skill level, preferred position, and preferred league days.

TEAMUP FAQ

What are the rules?
We use our standard League Rules. Remember, no sliding or goalkeeper punting allowed, and no offsides.

Do you play in the rain?
Yes.

Are all genders allowed?
Yes, Teamup plays like an Open league.

Can I play on the same team as my friend?
Yes! You'll be able to invite them during or after registration.

What should I bring?
Just cleats and water! We provide matching pinnies for your team.

Can I message my teammates?
Yes, use the Team Forum on your Player Page before and after the event.

Can I play goalkeeper?
Yes, if you are a goalkeeper, you can play goalkeeper the entire time!

SOCIAL REMIX LEAGUE RULES

All players ages 18+ are welcome to join teams and play on the field in any gender combination.

TEAM SIGNUP

Register as Captain, then send invites to teammates from your team dashboard, which can include payment requests, paid directly toward the team balance. Cancel team registration anytime before the Signup Deadline and we will refund everyone. (More info)

INDIVIDUAL SIGNUP

Register as an Individual and SOPFC will place you on a team. This is a great way to meet new people right off the bat! You can also invite friends to play on the same team.

😇 We designed our Beginners Only program specifically for folks new to the game, with very little experience, or who might otherwise feel nervous to try. You are literally not allowed to be good (if you accidentally are, we'll recommend a better league fit and transfer your registration). You're guaranteed to be amongst others just as inexperienced, and we bet you'll meet nice people too.

🥲 This is a strict no-judgment, no-embarrassment zone for people who want to learn the game and build their confidence, and we will ensure it remains that way! Beginners Only is about supporting and encouraging fellow players, not winning.

✅ We highly recommend starting with Level 1. Players with a little experience but who are still beginners may start in Level 3 if they're already familiar with the fundamentals of soccer.

🐣 LEVELS 1 & 2

Levels 1 & 2 are an introduction to the rules and fundamentals of soccer. Each level includes 55-minute Coach-led practices over 8 weeks, with a combination of warmups, skills & drills, strategy, and short scrimmages. These are designed to be completed over back-to-back seasons, and are a requirement for all players who've never played before.

🐤 LEVEL 3

Level 3 builds on the fundamentals and skills acquired in Levels 1 & 2, adding longer scrimmage play. Includes 55-minute Coach-led practices and longer scrimmages, alternating weekly. Scrimmages will be low stakes, without goalkeepers.

🐥 POST-GRADUATION

For graduating Beginners looking to take the next step and play games every week, we now offer a “protected” bottom division of our Thursday Coed league, only available to teams who have graduated from Beginners Only and those playing at the lowest possible skill level! This division features an identical game experience to other league divisions, including regular goals, goalkeepers, standings, and referees.
